Here are some more details about some of the beaches that you must see on your visit.
Brownes Beach
Located minutes away from Bridgetown, Brownes Beach is one of Barbados’ largest beaches. If you have heard about Barbados’ beautiful beaches, Brownes beach is a must-see.
Clear blue waters allow you to see fishes swimming, snorkel easily, and relax with the calming waters. You can see parked boats, enjoy the horizon and see parts of the island. You can grab drinks from the liquor stand and fishcakes from the tent. Or if you want a sweet treat, grab a snowcone all in the parking lot. You have the ability to rent chairs depending on where you are on this long stretch. There are a few entrances to get to Brownes Beach. You can get to this beach by car, ZR, bus, or taxi, or use your rental car.
Carlisle Bay
Calling all scuba divers!!! With tons of marine life and shipwrecks, Carlisle Bay is a must-see beach to explore. You can see all that is underwater so clearly—located in the southwest region of Barbados. It’s been said that Carlisle Bay offers the most amazing scuba diving experience in all Caribbean islands. Guests have said it is the cleanest and best beach experience ever!
Bathsheba Beach
High tides are calling your inner surfer. Are you looking for some fantastic waves to ride? Look no further. This beach offers the best swells. You can find Bathsheba is Barbados' east coast. It is not swim-friendly, so do not plan on swimming at Bathsheba because of the region's rough waters and rock formations. Grab some food, as this beach is a great picnic spot. Be sure to pack something to eat since there are no food options within walking distance. There are some bars you can grab alcoholic beverages from. Looking to get there? I recommend you take a rental car. Public transportation is limited in this area. There are no rentals available for any beach chairs or water-sport equipment.
Crane Beach
Crane Beach is a popular tourist destination in Barbados, known for its stunning pink-hued sand and crystal clear turquoise waters. Located on the southeast coast of the island, it offers a serene and picturesque setting for sunbathing, swimming, and relaxing.
The beach is surrounded by cliffs and is backed by lush vegetation, giving it a tropical and exotic feel. There are also several restaurants and bars nearby for visitors to enjoy a refreshing drink or a bite to eat.
Crane Beach is a great spot for activities such as snorkeling, as the waters are home to a variety of marine life, including colorful tropical fish and sea turtles. The beach also has a number of facilities, including restrooms, showers, and beach chairs, making it a convenient and comfortable place to spend the day.
In addition to its natural beauty, Crane Beach is known for its historic significance as well. The nearby Crane Resort, built in 1887, is one of the oldest and most iconic hotels in the Caribbean. Visitors can enjoy a tour of the property and learn about its rich history.
